Sparrow Weight Management Center offers a multidisciplinary approach to weight loss and wellness. Since 1989, our team of physicians, registered nurses, registered dietitians, behaviorists and exercise specialists have been providing mid-Michigan residents with the most comprehensive weight loss programs and bariatric surgical services available.
In partnership with Michigan State University, Department of Surgery, College of Human Medicine, Sparrow’s Bariatric Surgery program offers the latest in proven medical techniques delivered by two highly skilled surgeons who specialize in the advanced surgical treatment of clinically severe obesity, Dr. Panduranga Yenumula, MD, and Dr. Shean Satgunam, MD, FRCSC.
Dr. Yenumula is the only bariatric surgeon in mid-Michigan to be designated as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence surgeon and has successfully completed advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
